After a highly successful debut year, Tasmania’s first dedicated sports education academy is set to extend its reach to Launceston in 2026 — opening new pathways for regional students to build careers in the sports industry.

A new initiative, the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport, has been created through collaboration between the Tasmania Devils, AFL Tasmania, Tasmania JackJumpers (NBL), Hobart Hurricanes (Cricket), and Netball Tasmania, alongside TasTAFE.
