The Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport proudly welcomed its 2026 cohort, marking the official start of the exciting year ahead for our 90 students from across Tasmania.
Orientation day brought the cohort together for the first time, a chance to connect, meet fellow students and industry leaders and to gain a clear understanding of what lies ahead for TALS 2026.
Students were formally welcomed by the Devils’ Kath McCann, who congratulated them on taking the first step into Tasmania’s sporting industry and highlighted the important role TALS students will continue to play in supporting the growth of the Tasmania Football Club and the Tasmanian sporting landscape.
Senior Education Manager Glen McNeill then introduced the newly expanded TALS staff team before students were guided through key course logistics, an overview of the dual-diploma program and insight into the plethora of industry placement opportunities available in 2026.
