Brooke Joins JackJumpers in Membership and Administration Role

Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport (TALS) student, Brooke, has turned a four-week internship with the Tasmania JackJumpers into ongoing employment, recently accepting a casual role in the club’s Membership and Administration team.

Brooke Miller, 2025 TALS Student

Industry Experience Through Internship

During her internship, Brooke gained insight into the operations of a professional sporting organisation, contributing across administration and member engagement tasks. Her time with the JackJumpers included:

  • Supporting membership services and enquiries

  • Assisting with administration and logistics

  • Learning the processes behind large-scale sporting events

  • Building confidence in communication and customer service within a fast-paced environment

From Internship to Employment

Brooke’s strong work ethic, curiosity and ability to adapt quickly to the demands of professional sport impressed staff during her placement. As a result, she was offered an ongoing casual position, continuing to contribute to the JackJumpers’ membership and administration team.

Pathway Into Professional Sport

This opportunity demonstrates how TALS internships create real connections with industry. Brooke has been able to apply her classroom learning directly within a professional sporting environment, building experience and networks that have led to meaningful employment.

Congratulations to Brooke on securing her new role with the Tasmania JackJumpers.
