Glen McNeill - Senior Education Manager 

As a senior leader at TALS, Glen supports Educators and Student Success Coordinators to deliver a nation-leading program that connects education, industry, and career pathways for students across Tasmania. He is deeply focused on building high-performing education teams, designing industry-connected programs, and developing future leaders through values-led, practical, and applied learning that drives long-term social and regional impact.

Glen brings extensive experience across education leadership, project management, and program design, having led complex initiatives and worked closely with industry, government, and tertiary partners to translate strategy into measurable outcomes. Holding a Master of Project Management, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Commerce, along with Certified Project Director and Trainer credentials, he is passionate about creating education that is connected, purposeful, and impactful. Glen’s mission is to empower people and build programs that create lasting opportunity for individuals, organisations, and communities across Tasmania. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, staying active, engaging in sport and community initiatives, and continually learning through research, reading, and professional development.

Rob Mason – Learning & Development manager

As Learning and Development Lead at TALS, Rob combines his passion for education with his experience in elite sport. His role involves teaching across the program, shaping curriculum content, and contributing to projects at Devils HQ. He particularly enjoys guiding students through topics such as professional development, feedback, and leadership. 

Rob’s career spans more than 10 years in the AFL, most of it with Port Adelaide, alongside work as a curriculum developer, university lecturer, and researcher. Holding a PhD in Education, a Masters of Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, he brings a strong academic and industry background to his work. Rob is motivated by helping Tasmanian students grow and chase their career goals, with a personal mission to support others in reaching their full potential. Away from TALS, he can often be found running, brewing coffee, or playing music. 

Anna Reid - Senior Learning & Development Manager

As Senior Manager of Education & Development, Anna’s primary focus in 2026 is leading the launch of the TALS program in Northern Tasmania. Working closely with the TALS team, she will oversee delivery of the program for the first cohort of students in the North, helping extend access to high-quality, industry-connected education across the state.

Anna brings extensive national and international leadership experience, having held senior roles with BP, Pacific Brands, the Sydney Opera House, and EY. Most recently, she was a Director in EY’s Education practice, partnering with universities and higher education providers to transform student experience and success outcomes. She also served as a Director at TasTAFE from 2022–2024 and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Education. Passionate about the transformative power of education, Anna is driven to improve education and employment outcomes in Tasmania and is inspired by how TALS combines the state’s love of sport with the development of future sporting leaders. Her personal mission is transformation through education. Outside of work, Anna enjoys bushwalking, mountain biking, live sport (especially footy), music, exploring Tasmania’s food scene, and travelling.

As Learning Lead TALS, Taylah plays a key role in organising student work-integrated learning opportunities, coordinating guest speakers, and providing academic support. She has a particular interest in time management, leadership, and sports coaching, which shape both her teaching and mentoring approach. 

Taylah brings extensive experience to the role, having run her own gym for the past eight years and serving as Head Coach of the Australian Women’s Blind Cricket Team. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, a Masters of Physiotherapy, and is a Level 3 Cricket Australia Coach. Passionate about creating opportunities for others, Taylah values the networking and growth that TALS offers its students and is committed to advocating for women in sport and leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys cricket coaching, playing golf, gardening, and travelling. 

Taylah Murfet – Learning lead

Thomas Reeves – Engagement Officer 

As Engagement Officer at TALS, Thomas is responsible for promoting the program across the state. A TALS graduate himself, Thomas has been particularly interested in exploring how sports leaders galvanise communities, with a focus on marketing strategies, club culture, and communicating with emotional intelligence. 

Thomas brings a wide range of experience to the role, having coached various sports, qualified as a school teacher, led a not-for-profit community organisation, and lived and worked in student accommodation. He holds a Bachelor of Education, a TCE, and is completing our Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Leadership & Management. Passionate about education and sport, Thomas values the collaborative nature of TALS and the way it connects students with leaders across the Tasmanian sports industry. His mission is to bring out the best in himself and others within the teams and organisations he contributes to. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys coffee, playing guitar, taking his Labrador to the beach, and keeping his lawn in top shape. 

Isaac Salter - Student Success Coordinator (South)

As Student Success Coordinator at TALS, Isaac supports students throughout their learning journey while coordinating placements, partnerships, and the day-to-day delivery of the program. A TALS graduate himself, Isaac brings firsthand insight into the student experience, alongside a strong interest in student engagement and retention, and strengthening connections between education and the sport industry.

With experience competing in cricket at a high level, Isaac understands the demands and opportunities of high-performance sporting environments and the pathways into sport. Holding a Diploma of Leadership and Management, he values the access TALS provides to sporting organisations and the clear pathway it creates for turning ambition into reality. Passionate about supporting student success, Isaac’s mission is to help learners build confidence and access meaningful opportunities within the sport industry. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sport across multiple codes, AFL Fantasy and SuperCoach, travelling, and cooking.

Lily Mills - Student Success Coordinator (North)

As a key member of the TALS team, Lily supports student engagement and success through program coordination, administration, and strong relationships with sport industry partners. With a focus on student wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development, Lily is passionate about creating an approachable and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered.

Bringing experience across education and sport-based roles, as well as running a small respite business, Lily has developed a strong understanding of individual needs, wellbeing, communication, and holistic support. Holding a Diploma of Leadership and Management and a Diploma of Sport, she values the genuine opportunities TALS creates for students to build meaningful networks and real-world experience. Lily’s mission is to empower the 2026 cohort to make the most of every opportunity, while tailoring support to individual needs and contributing positively to the overall Academy experience. Outside of work, she enjoys coffee catch-ups (and plenty of tea), following sport, staying active with Active Farmers Hagley, day hikes, and travelling.
