Louder, Prouder, Stronger: Bellah’s TALS Journey

When you meet Bellah Parker, you quickly realise she’s more than just a sports fan, she’s part of Tasmania’s next wave of sports leaders.

A proud palawa woman from the Tasman Peninsula, Bellah’s journey began as an athlete in the Devils Talent League pathway. Her early experiences as a player gave her a deep understanding of the dedication, resilience, and teamwork needed to succeed in sport.

Now, as a student with the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport, Bellah is pursuing a different but equally important role, being part of “the team behind the team.”

I joined the Academy to learn and grow. Over the last year, I’ve been excited to be part of the Tasmanian Devils story. With each step, we’re getting closer to entering the AFL and AFLW, and I’m eager to leave my mark.

Her ultimate ambition? To one day work for the Tasmanian Devils, helping to build and support the next generation of athletes.

For Bellah, this isn’t just a career path, it’s a passion. As Tasmania moves closer to having its own AFL and AFLW teams, she’s already picturing the moment the Devils run out for their first games.

I’ll feel proud when our club takes the field, and I can’t wait to cheer them on. Louder, prouder, stronger.”

Bellah’s story reflects the very purpose of the Tasmania Academy of Leadership and Sport: creating opportunities for local talent to grow, lead, and inspire. She’s living proof that the future of Tasmanian sport isn’t just about the players on the field, but the dedicated people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all possible.
